The advice is always the same: sleep more, do less, take a break.

That rest and refilling are not the same thing, and confusing them is why a whole weekend can pass without anything being restored. Some genuinely empty hours put nothing back. Some short, oddly specific ones put back a surprising amount — and which is which turns out to be more personal, and more findable, than the general advice allows.

It also makes a duller argument that matters more: most depletion isn’t caused by the amount of work. It’s caused by the amount of unfinished, unresolved, still-open work — which is a different problem with a different fix.
